Argo

The movie “Argo” was a very intense movie. The movie is based on a true story which makes me be fully engaged because it is about our history. One scene that I thought was important was when the people of Iran were burning the American Flag in the beginning of the movie. The scene took place at 2:40 minutes into the movie. The guy was standing on an elevated surface, waving the burning American flag in front of the crowd of irate people. The Iran people were standing outside the United States embassy in Tehran; surround the gates and chanting unknown words that I knew. I thought it was important because this is a huge deal in the United States. Although it is not illegal, it is really disrespectful to do so. This represents that the people of Iran were very angry and will do whatever it takes to destroy Americans or make them hostages. This scene also indicated the start to their Iranian revolution on the U.S. embassy in Tehran, where six Americans barely escape but were stuck on their grounds waiting to be rescued.
